Rugby

Earlier today I tried watching my first game of rugby. I'm not too familiar with the rules, but here is what I learned:
  1. Run around with the ball until you run into someone.
  2. When forward momentum ceases, throw or kick the ball in some random direction.
  3. Every once in a while they stop the game and everyone surrounds the ball, like a hockey penalty.
  4. Sometimes a team will line up nuts to butt and try to force the opposing player backwards. Kind of a reverse tug-of-war.
  5. I'm too old to follow new sports. I like watching football (college and pro) and sometimes basketball, but rarely. That's it. And I still don't fully understand those rules. Whenever I try to follow something new like tennis or rugby I get really bored. I would follow baseball, but nine innings are usually a test of patience and there are like 125 games per season per team, and who really cares. And soccer is for people who can't throw or catch.

Easter

It seems that everyone I know, which is a very small number, was having some kind of Easter dinner today. I decided to make my own Easter dinner: French Fries.

As you can see, this is very boring meal, fit for my personality. I thought that since it was a holiday, I would add a little something. I added a can of chili.

If I'm going to make chili fries, I figured I should just go ahead and make them chili cheese fries.

May as well add some sour cream to it too.

It needed some color so I chopped up some green onions and sprinkled them on top.

I noticed something was missing...it was bacon.

It was a delicious.

Upstairs

I moved upstairs and have been contemplating what is to become of this blog. Do I keep blogging, acting as if I'm a morlock dwelling in the dank underbelly of the house? Should I rename this blog? "Thoughts From the Upstairs" doesn't have the same ring to it.

I haven't really been lighting the blogosphere on fire lately so I really shouldn't care. But I do. These are the thoughts that keep me up at night.

Time to reset the play counts.
